I'm thinking of the things we never done
(but should have)
The things we never said
(but should have)
The things that were put aside till later
It is only when you lose a loved one you realize

Life is so short there may not be a tomorrow,
So say what you have to say
Do what you have to do, sooner rather than later
Tell the people you love, you love them
Tell the people you care for, you care
Life is what you make it, the more love you give
The more you will receive
Make someone happy today

Tell them you love them
For there may not be a tomorrow

My days are full of sadness
I can't find any joy
To hear
Your funny laugh
To see
Your cheery smile
Would really be worthwhile
But sadly darling, it's not to be
Not just for a while
There will come a time
Perhaps not far away
We will meet again
I will hold your hand
I will be where I want to be
You can show me round
The new home you found
Introduce me to the Lord
The love we have shared
Will grow stronger there
I really do believe
I love you more than ever
We could look upon
Our friends below
And help them on their way
And guide our girls
If trouble came along
Until that day I will stay
And do my best from here
Though things are hard
I'll do my best
I really will try hard
I'll do things wrong
I know I will

I wrote these after the death of my darling wife in August this year age just 45 with all to live for. I hope someone may get some inspiration from them.

Your thoughts on 'To Love Someone'

This poem was very heart felt to me. I lost my grandfather on Christmas of 2005. He was my whole life. I miss him so much. I know that he is standing next to God everyday. I thank God for him being in heaven in a better more perfect place. Thank you for this poem.

One of my dear friends died in a tragic car crash. His name was Ronnie Rechtzigel and by reading this it gave me motivation to live the day to the fullest!! Thank you!

I began looking for inspirational poems as a way to help me through the days. My husband of 9 years lost his life in a car accident in May. He was only 25. Thank you for helping me through today.

Deeply missed and deeply loved by a man that come few...
