I know it's been hard since I left your side
At the funeral you weren't the only one with tears in your eyes

I know you miss me everyday
Sorry that I left without any words to say

I know that things will be a struggle for you from now on
But as long as your alive, I am not really gone

I know that I was your Son and a part of your heart
Always keep in mind that our souls will never part

Just remember the fun we had, just try,
Because when you have a smile on your face, so do I...

Your thoughts on 'I Know'

I lost my 25 yr. old son very tragically one year ago. He was not just my son, but also one of my best friends. This poem made me cry. I feel it's what Chris would want to tell me.

My son passed away April 11, 2007 from aggressive cancer. He was only 27. This message inspired me deeply because this is exactly what he would tell me if he could! He always was and always will remain the light of my life!
