A Beautiful Day

When we first met, I never knew the happiness you would bring
It was May 16th 1992, on a beautiful day in Spring

Not love at first sight, but long lasting love, I deem
Longing to live happily ever after as if we're in a dream

Starting out as simple friends, then the best of friends we'd be
Eventually there was nothing that could separate you and me

Our love embedded a seed with in me, but 9 months we'd have to wait
A beautiful baby boy was born, now we knew our love was fate

He brought joy to our lives that we never knew exist
We gave all our love to him, and to us he too gave his

We shared ups and downs but we chose to stick it out
Because in fact, isn't that what true love is all about?

You never abandoned me, thought I cheated and I lied
Instead, forgiving me and staying by my side

I never knew true love until I gave my heart to you
From now until eternity, anything for you I'll do

From 3 turned 4, a baby girl from God was sent
No question now, to be, our love was truly meant

Happily ever after, with a few ups and downs we live
Forever and a day, is how long my love I'll give

I never knew in my lifetime, I'd be blessed with EVERYTHING
And it all started May 16th 1992, on a beautiful day in Spring
