Your
Thoughts Matter
Ultimately
life is not meant to be spent in the bleachers, living is about
being part of the game. It's about actions like challenging yourself,
taking a chance, having an opinion, and stepping up to the plate
(and taking a swing). How many times could we have made a difference
and talked ourselves out of it? How many times do we worry that
our opinions and ideas aren't good enough or wouldn't be of interest
to others - and thus avoid the opportunity to contribute our voices
to the outcome... to positively impact someone else's reality?
I
heard a cute story along the way...
Little
Billy managed to make it all the way to the age of six and a half
without ever uttering a word. The doctors could find nothing wrong
with him and employed his parents to keep working with him until
a breakthrough could be realized. One summer day his mother, as
in so many instances prior, gave him a sandwich and juice for
his early afternoon lunch. Walking away from the table, she was
startled to hear the words' "this sandwich is dry."
Rushing back to the table with tears forming in her eyes, she
cheerfully cried, "Billy, you spoke... I can't believe it...
after all this time - and your first words were a complaint about
your sandwich!!!???" Billy responded, "well, up to this
point things have been pretty good."
A
simple little story but, truth be told, don't we often fail to compliment
and support the good in favor of pending complaints about the next
problem? At least until we lose the good thing... upon which, we
complain about what we lost.
As
a company we have adopted an extremely lofty goal... to help make
the world a better place. No matter how much effort we put
into SomethingToShare.com, we know interaction
from you is essential to keeping us on the right path - as well
as our overall success.
Thus your feedback is not only welcome its crucial
and greatly appreciated.
